Compelling reasons to join your local naturist club

Imagine a hot summers day and imagine that you are in your car and you are stressed with the combination of heat fatigue and the fact that there are rivulets of perspiration running down between your shoulder blades, and all you can think of is plunging into a cool swimming pool.

The local swimming baths are a possible solution, but first there is the bind of having to find somewhere to park, then pay the entrance fee, and then enter a steamed up locker room with the sterile smell and slippery floor tiles. Then bundle your clothes into your locker and pull on your costume and the wrist band with the locker key on, and then make your way precariously to the noisy, echoey pool.

You enter the warm water, but by now your body has already cooled down, and that delicious moment of relief has passed and what is being experienced is more of an anti-climax. There are no familiar faces amongst the other swimmers, and there is certainly no sun area where one can bask and maybe enjoy a cold drink.

Compare this to driving to your local naturist club, parking, and stripping off, immediately experiencing the benefits of the air cooling your body, and then jumping straight into the swimming pool without any hindrance of swimming costume dragging along with you, just an over whelming feeling of total freedom as you swim naked, enjoying the feeling of water against skin and feeling at one with the elements.

And then getting out of the pool and enjoying the immediate warming sensation without having wet, clingy material against your body, saying hello to the like-minded souls around the pool area, and then padding off still naked, to the sun terrace to maybe socialise or just sunbathe whilst sipping something cold.

Sounds wonderful, doesn t it? But that is what hundreds of naturists enjoy, weather permitting, throughout the summer.

There is no other feeling of intense relaxation like it.

You can literally pop in for two or three hours, and then leave, feeling as if you ve had a mini-holiday!

The idea of this feature is not to rubbish indoor swimming pools, they are essential, and there are many naturist indoor swims up and down the country who depend upon their local baths possibly in the absence of any other local naturism gathering or outlet. In addition, there are some naturist clubs that have superb indoor swimming pools, such as the one pictured below. Our purpose within this article, is to promote the benefits of being a member of a naturist club.

The benefits are endless, the strong club community spirit, the trust between naturist club members, the promotional events, sometimes there are organised naturist holidays or outings to other naturist clubs between the members, all this is without even starting to extol the facilities within the naturist clubs themselves, which obviously vary from club to club.

Some clubs have sports activities such as badminton, boules, tennis, mini-ten, some clubs concentrate on their indoor pursuits such as saunas, solarium, pool, billiards, and others have extensive camping facilities, and some are lucky enough to have the complete combination.
