Interview withTatiana Aitken, Certified Tantric Journey Educator

Nudist UK:– What was your first naturist experience?
Tatiana:- I first got naked at a festival called the Rainbow gathering, and ran
around the field naked in the rain with my friend – it was great!
Nudist UK: How did you get into your current occupation?
Tatiana: I run Tantra and Conscious Sexuality workshops and retreats alongside my
husband, and also give individual tantric therapy sessions. I got into
this by following the things which really interested me in my life. I
resigned from my job in the oil industry in London nearly a decade ago,
and have since studied meditation, bodywork, psychosexual therapy,
nutrition and more. These all combine to help lead a healthy and happy
life.
Nudist UK: How did you actually start your business?
Tatiana: We started the workshops by hiring a space in the local community centre,
and putting out some printed flyers around the town where we live. This
grew and I trained as a tantric journey educator, which is how I started
to give individual treatment sessions as well.
Nudist UK: Have you experienced jealousy from your spouse?
Tatiana: No, he is very supportive.
Nudist UK: What about jealousy from the partners of those you massage?
Tatiana: I don’t communicate with partners of those people who come to the
workshops or treatments sessions on their own. From what I know, some
participants and clients have very supportive partners. In other cases,
tantra is outside of the scope of understanding of some, so their partners
choose not to share that they attend events or individual sessions.

Nudist UK: Have there been any embarrassing experiences?
Tatiana: We were once running a workshop at a festival with 50-60 participants
where one of the exercises was for the group to have a hug together in a
big circle. I asked a pregnant lady in front of the whole group if she was
pregnant, to alert the others so that they would be careful with her.
Only, she said she was not pregnant!
Nudist UK: Have you ever had any clients that you dreaded having to see?
No, I’ve enjoyed working with each one of them.
Nudist UK: Have you had any clients who wanted to have an outside-of-work
relationship with you?
Tatiana: Yes, I get asked out on dates occasionally by some clients.
Nudist UK: Have you been on a naturist holiday?
Tatiana: The first naturist holiday we went on was to a festival called “Nudestock”. It was May in the north of England and it was freezing, but
we braved the weather and got naked (for a bit!)
Nudist UK: What do you tell other people you do for a living?
Tatiana: I say that I teach tantra, and that I give individual therapy sessions. I
find that a good way to explain what I do to people who are not familiar
with this work is that it is a bit like a combination of meditation, yoga
and sex therapy!
Nudist UK: Do your friends and family know what you do, if so what do they think?
Tatiana: Yes friends know what I do. My family know I run workshops and that I give
sessions, but I’ve never directly told them that the massages can include
genital massage, too.

Nudist UK: What about your neighbours, do they know?
Tatiana: Yes, to an extent – again, they know everything that I do, but I’ve never
mentioned about the direct genital touch in the sessions.
Nudist UK: Would you see your children in the same industry as you? (When
they are grown up of course!)
Tatiana: Yes, it’s a wonderful occupation
Nudist UK: Do you have any advice for anyone going into the same industry?
Tatiana: This work involves working with deep seated trauma in many people, so be
prepared to face all of your own demons as part of the training and the
work itself. The work is hugely rewarding and it will help you grow as a
human being.
Nudist UK: How do You relax?
Tatiana: I find work relaxing! Other than that, I like to dog walk, go for walks in
nature, read and spend time with friends for relaxation.
Nudist UK: Do you have any hobbies?
Tatiana: I enjoy reading, healthy eating and spending time with friends and family.
And also time on my own, when I can get it.
