Although La Genese is predominantly a camping area, the choice of accommodation is varied to suit all requirements and tastes, there are also excellent facilities for the entire family including a very large swimming pool, paddling pool for the smaller family members and various sports and activities should you wish to participate.
La Genese is situated in south east France in Gorge de la Ceze in the Cevennes. If you are rich and happen to have a private jet, there are a couple of small airfields nearby, for the rest of us the nearest conventional airport would be Nimes, which is about 35 miles away.
Ryanair provide some cheap return flights to Nimes, and whilst in Nimes, hire a car to explore some of the sights of this amazing historical city, with some superb restaurants, indoor food market and plenty of shops.
When you arrive at La Genese, you are going to love the peace and tranquillity of the area. Depending on which style of holiday you have booked, you can either merge with nature totally with a conventional tent and equipment, or instead of camping why not go Glamping with a choice of fixed unit accommodation including the new Ecolodge which is like a canvas home held together with wooden struts and flooring, a tent on stilts! However, the Ecolodge still boasts all facilities; cooking, electricity, two bedrooms one with double bed, the other with a single bed and bunk beds so there is plenty of room for a young family.
If you don t fancy the Ecolodge there are mobile homes which can cater for up to 8 people and also Chalet accommodation which can cater for up to 6 people. Both styles of accommodation have toilets, showers and cooking facilities.
La Genese is the ideal setting for a naturist family. It has been approved by the French Federation of Naturism, so families can enjoy their holiday, secure in the knowledge that they are as safe as they can be.
There are plenty of activities, the swimming pool and the paddling pool are adjacent to each other, so you can keep a watchful eye, in the summer there is a huge inflatable slide which is so much fun, however, there is also plenty of room around the pool if you want some me time or just an all-over tan
If you don t fancy using the swimming pool, have a dip in the river Ceze.The water feels fresh and cool and you can sunbathe nude in the sunshine on the pebbly side of the bank, or enjoy long walks and enjoy the wild nature in all of its glory.
Canoes are available, maybe you d like to have a paddle a down the river and exercise those arm muscles?
There is an on-site keep fit program, also there is Ayurvedic body modelling, which is a form of alternative holistic healing.
As far as entertainment is concerned, there are open air film shows, Karaoke, disco and much, much more
There is a restaurant and snack bar where you can have a proper restaurant meal or a snack or take-away.
