Interview with a Naturist Masseur from Reigate Surrey
Dean was brought up in sunny climes where being nude was seen as being totally natural.

So what career path would suit someone who loves being naked and massaging others? Naturist Massage of course!
Nudist UK:- Please tell us about yourself
Dean:- Now in my mid 50s, I was born and raised in the Far East, being the child of a British Forces family. I enjoyed growing up in a warm, Bohemian environment where being nude was just normal. Being educated to degree level has afforded me an inquisitive mind and I’ve always been fascinated by the sensual and sexual psychology of men and women. Having studied human sexual psychology along with varying forms of massage, I am always keen to incorporate the mind into any body work I perform. My real partner is the calming centre of my world. She has no active role within Tranquility Massage.
Nudist UK:- What was your first naturist experience?
Dean:- Being born I guess. Thereafter I was usually nude being fortunate enough to live in the tropics!
Nudist UK:- How did you become a naturist masseur?
Dean:- From my late teens, I have always enjoyed both being massaged and giving massages. Due to the climate where I grew up, these were invariably nude.
Nudist UK:- How did you start your business?
Dean:- Due to political changes, I returned to the UK about 20 years ago. On investigating the massage industry here, I felt that a business could be created to lift naturist massage from the “back pages” into the mainstream. It wasn’t an overnight process, taking several months of research into what to offer, how to offer it and of course, creating the Tranquility brand, building the website (all my own work), marketing and premises.
Nudist UK:- Have you experienced jealousy from any of your partners or wives or other, or have you ever felt jealousy towards them?
Dean:- My real partner has always been aware of the nature of my business. She thinks of what I do as a business and we never mix the business with our private life. They are 2 separate things entirely. My working partners have their own personal lives away from Tranquility and I have never felt jealous about what they are doing. Jealousy is a very destructive emotion and really doesn’t fit well in my line of work!
Nudist UK:- What about jealousy from the partners of those you massage?
Dean:- Good question. So, we have many people visit us, both men and women, whose partners may or may not know about their visit. We don’t ask the question! I suspect that maybe 99% don’t know that their partners, husbands, wives etc are visiting Tranquility. I’m sure that if they did, jealousy could possibly be an issue! When it’s a couple visiting, they have already discussed their massage session and what may happen, so I assume that jealousy isn’t an issue for them. I’ve never been told that it is!
Nudist UK:- Have there been any embarrassing experiences?
Dean:- From a personal point of view, no. However I have had clients forget the “name” they gave when booking and let slip their real name, which has flustered some of them! Our clients are from all over the UK as well overseas, so I’ve never bumped into anyone who has visited Tranquility.
Nudist UK:- Have you ever had any clients that you dreaded having to see?
Dean:- A few. There are clients either myself or my working partners would prefer not to see again. We rarely have any real knowledge of who we are going to meet prior to them turning up. We don’t know how they will behave on the day. Some struggle to remain considerate as to how they interact (especially with my working partners) and these clients are gently discouraged from further appointments. I understand that what we offer is a very sensual experience and people can get carried away with their desire to interact, which is fine providing they remain considerate, gentle and respectful towards us.
Nudist UK:- Have you had any clients who wanted to have an outside-of-work relationship with you?
Dean:- Oh yes! Both men and women. I’m always flattered, but politely and graciously turn them down.
Nudist UK:- How do you attract the people/staff that work with you.
Dean:- Over the years, I’ve had several working partners. They are all female and have joined Tranquility through varying avenues. One or two have come along for their own massage and decided from there that they would like to partner me in giving naturist massage. I spend a lot of time (and money) on advertising and marketing the business, including advertising for a new lady to join should the business need one. I also have vacancy and application sections within the Tranquility website should anyone be interested in possibly working with me. My current working partner Lilly applied directly from the website. A new lady Summer has just joined us via one of my internet adverts.
Nudist UK:- What do you tell other people you do for a living?
Dean:- Along with my naturist massage business, I also run a web design company that caters for many other types of business. So, to anyone outside my intimate circle, I’m a web designer!
Nudist UK:- Do your friends and family know what you do, if so what do they think?
Dean:- My immediate family are aware of what I do. To them, it’s just a business… albeit an unusual one!
Nudist UK:- What about your neighbours, do they know?
Dean:- Tranquility is run from a discreet private apartment used solely for the business. I am always aware of my clients (and my own) need for discretion within the local community, so ensure privacy for all. My neighbours are certainly not aware of the nature of business we offer.
Nudist UK:- If you have a son or daughter, would you like to see them in the same industry as you?
Dean:- I have no children, however if I did and they wished to follow this line of business, I would be happy for them to pursue this career. I think that no one should be judged on what they choose to do for a living and see what we offer as more than just naturist massage. It’s an exploration into one’s sensual self and can be very liberating and remedial for many with intimacy, sexual identity and self-esteem concerns.
Nudist UK:- Is there anything you’d like to add from your own thoughts?
Dean:– Thank you. Perhaps I could mention that over the years I’ve been fortunate enough to meet a variety of people from all walks of life. My clients have been of all ages, creeds and ethnicities. I hope that Tranquility has been able to help them with their sensual journey and self discovery.
Nudist UK:- Thank you Dean, it’s been a pleasure talking to you…
Dean:– Thank you!
