These are the most common questions that people ask before taking the plunge into naturism.

Will people treat me differently if they find out that I am a naturist?
They might, but you don’t have to tell them and it’s unlikely that they will find out.
If you do decide to tell anyone, it’s best that you mention a
bum-browning, holiday experience first.
People can, more or less relate to nude sunbathing abroad, but can find it hard to grasp the concept of social nudity in this country.
I am an 18 year old male, will I get aroused if I visit a naturist club or beach for the first time?
No, highly unlikely. When you strip off for the first time, you will believe that everyone is looking at you. They are not, but until the first few minutes go by, you will believe that they are. Sex will be the last thing on your mind!
The next thing that will happen, is that you’ll adopt a change of mindset, and when talking to other naturists, you’ll possibly not even notice their nudity.
It’s a strange thing, but it’s clothes than can create sexiness, not nudity!
However, if you do get aroused, because we all know that a man’s penis can sometimes have a mind of its own, just roll over onto your front until it subsides, or if you can decently slip into the sea or pool without people noticing your predicament, that would also help.
Is there a likelyhood of loads of perverts joining sun clubs and going on nudist beaches?
Unfortunately, there are perverts everywhere. Luckily, there is probably less chance at your local naturist club, because they get identified and weeded out very quickly, either by the club management, or by the members.
It’s a bit more difficult on a nudist beach or public location, however, but you’ll find that when there is a “dodgy person” prowling, people tend to cover up and scowl at the offender, who normally then moves on.
I am a middle aged female who is tempted to join a naturist club but I am overweight with stretch marks, and generally don’t feel good about my appearance. What should I do?
Don’t just be tempted…join up! Don’t worry!
Naturism isn’t just about getting your kit off and playing volleyball!
It goes much deeper. When you are talking to fellow nudists, you will generally find that you are connecting on a different level.
Naturists don’t tend to give a stuff if you’re a millionaire, company director, policemen, cleaner or politician! They’ll want to know about you, but not generally judge you on your appearance.
It’s all about you inside, are you a well-meaning soul with a sense of appreciation and enjoyment?
Then great, you’ll be accepted by the others. Whether you’re an amputee, have facial or body disfigurements, are too fat, too thin, white, yellow, pink, black or striped, it really doesn’t matter!
I think I have a small manhood, will I be laughed at?
The temptation is to refer you to the answer above, but just to add that naturist men that feel that they have below average tackle, are normally so relaxed and secure within the nudist environment, that if the subject ever comes up in conversation, will mostly take the mickey out of themselves, and create some humour!
Nearly everyone on this planet feels as if they have a short-coming of some description.
I am going to a naturist club for the first time with a friend, will I have to take all my clothes off?
No. However, different clubs have different rules, and may insist that all swimming pool users are naked. (this is to ensure that the naturist element of the club is upheld.) Or they may insist that people cover up in certain areas of the club, or at certain times. If in doubt, a quick phone call to the club will put you at ease.
My Husband wants to take our kids with us on a naturist holiday. Will this feel awkward?
If you act in an awkward fashion, then the children certainly will, because they will pick up on your behaviour. By nature, young children will love being naked, splashing in and out of the pool. It’s only as they get older that their inhibitions set in, normally caused by their peers in the outside world.

My partner and I are interested in visiting a naturist club in the future. Are gay couples generally accepted or is there any stigma in the naturist community?
