El Portús is about 7 miles to the lively town of Cartagena, which has festivals and activity all year round.
It is situated on Spain’s Costa Calida and is nestled in a sheltered, south-facing bay, with spectacular mountain and sea views, El Portús is now one of the prime naturist holiday destinations in Southern Spain.El Portús is open all year round, and is ideal for your summer holidays as well as a long term stay during the winter.
There are two pools – one is covered and heated in winter – restaurant, bar, a well stocked onsite supermarket , tennis courts, rock climbing, scuba diving and kayaking; fitness centre with sauna, Jacuzzi, exercise machines, massage and aromatherapy.
Wi-fi is local, and there is a mobile service.
El Portús is a place of outstanding natural beauty, so if you have an artistic streak bring paint brushes and a camera!
It is right on the beach, and there is a choice of modern, air-conditioned apartments, of which there are 15 situated in the “Hacienda Montavo” which is a three storey new block with modern conveniences, air con, etc.
There are 3 different styles of mobile home and 400 camping pitches, most with electricity. Many people bring their own caravans which they leave on site for a small fee.

Many people have made El Portús their permanent or semi-permanent home and there are regular gatherings that holidaymakers are welcome to attend.
